More is More when it comes to Hair!

GOING FOR GOLD! I have plenty of hair so you could be right calling me greedy wanting more with hair extensions but I find my hair is weakest on the sides – it breaks – and that’s the area around the front of my face – the place everybody sees! I couldn’t care less about the back, lol! So, when I asked my hairdresser Dylan Bradshaw could I/should I get hair extensions he said “You don’t need them!”. I still wanted to try them so we came to a compromise….a handful (maybe 10/12 bonds) on each side and he suggested Gold Fever…

Ultherapy Update! At Lowell Medical

It’s almost two months since my Ultherapy treatment with Dr. Garrett Brady at Lowell Medical, and I can really notice the difference on my skin. Because the effects work gradually and naturally, it can be difficult to exactly pinpoint the changes, but when I compare pictures of now and two months ago, I can see that Ultherapy has made a difference. I feel I look brighter and fresher and people have commented that I look ‘really well’. It is rejuvenating my collagen which I’m told should soften edges, improve skin tone, lift and tighten but not in a drastic…

IFTA News

It has always courted controversy but I have always enjoyed the IFTA’s. For me it’s a night of celebration – celebrating the remarkable talent we have working in the television and film industry in Ireland and abroad – meeting up with my peers and dressing up for the cameras. Actually, apart from the fun part of designing a dress with one of Ireland’s top designers and getting ‘styled to within an inch of my life’ the ‘working the red carpet’ bit still gets to me. There is no other event in town that does a red carpet like the IFTA’s.…

Maureen O’Hara R.I.P.

I was lucky enough to meet Maureen O’Hara when she received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Irish Tatler Women Of The Year Awards in 2010. Maureen spoke at length about her own struggles as a woman trying to succeed in Hollywood in the 1940’s, and you could hear a pin drop in the packed ballroom for the duration of her acceptance speech. She was a very engaging, entertaining 90-year-old lady then and she received a standing ovation for her hilarious anecdotes about the business. Being “Divine” for 10 years!

What an incredible night for Divine Boutique last night. Celebrating 10 years in business in the stunning setting of Carton House. I was delighted to help with MC duties – being a massive fan of Divine boutique and its proprietor Mary Greene (who also happens to be my Bessie!) – and to support and create awareness of The Neurofibromatosis Association of Ireland. Happy 10th Birthday Harvey Nichols!

I can’t believe it’s ten years since Harvey Nichols arrived to Dundrum Town Centre. I have been a huge fan from the beginning. I love their labels, it’s a really comfortable space to browse, their Personal Shopping Service is relaxed, professional and so much fun and the staff are helpful, friendly and honest. In the dark at Hollister!

My 12 year old daughter Emelia has been obsessed with Hollister for the last two years. Desperately trying to get her little frame to fit the xs when really the clothes are aimed at teenagers to twenty somethings. I must say the quality of their clothes is very good if only you could see them? Keane On Style Wins at Cork Fashion Week Irish Fashion Awards

Thank you to everyone involved in the Irish Fashion Awards which took place today in Cork as part of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cork 2015. I’m chuffed with my award (Most Influential Figure in Fashion & Beauty!). Unfortunately I can’t stay and celebrate as I have an early start, so I’m heading home, where incidentally I’m the least influential figure when it comes to dressing my daughters for school in the morning.
